Project Brief

Our task for this project was to design a UI/UX solution that achieves all the requirements requested by the client and also matches the standard set out by the brand. The initial requirement the client had was to design the UI for the application but the conducted research discovered the complexity of the project. Therefore, it was concluded that it is best to have 2 different apps for the Patient and the Provider and an Admin Panel for the employees at The Hive admins to overlook the platform’s bookings, deliveries, inventory, and finances.

This app will be bridging patients who require injectable services with doctors who will visit the patient and provide the requested service. The main functionality of this app would be to display the services provided by the doctors where the patient would book the service with their comfortable time and date. In case the patient has no idea about what services they require, the option to consult the doctor through audio or video mode will also be provided.

The client suggested integrating AI into this platform where the patient’s face will be analyzed and the services which are suitable to them will be recommended. This feature will be able to replace the audio/video consultation feature which also eases the process the patient and the doctor have to follow. Since the initial goal of this project is to design the MVP and develop it, the AI features will be added in a later phase of the project.

The timeline to design the platform was 2 months which included UX research, conducting competitor analysis, designing user personas & user flows. While in progress, our designers created a comprehensive design solution that included 100+ screens of the Patient app, Provider app, and a diversified admin panel.

Research & Analysis

We were given a big challenge and we initiated this challenge by starting with User & Industry research. Since the industry is new to our designers, we did extensive research on the processes followed by doctors and patients manually and came up with features that can easily automate their actions.

As the next step, a competitor analysis was conducted where we analyzed the existing apps and noted down in what areas The Hive app can be better and user-friendly.

Once the research work was completed, a user persona was created to have an idea about the target audience. Lastly, user flows were designed to get an idea about how a user would navigate through the app to complete their task.
